The Oregon Fall League offers players in the graduating classes of 2021-2025 a unique opportunity to advance their baseball skills during the offseason. The goal of the OFL is to provide players with a weekly instructional clinic hosted by the SBA staff on Thursday nights, followed by a 7-inning doubleheader on the weekend. This league structure allow players to work on different aspect of their game during the instructional clinics and immediately have a chance to apply them in a game setting that weekend. Player development is the number one goal of the OFL in order to prepare student-athletes for success in their future baseball endeavors. Our instructional nights will be structured much like a collegiate baseball practice with individual defensive instruction, simulated situations, batting practice, and more. New this year will be an increased focus on exposure for our players. Through a comprehensive overhaul of our social media platforms and website, we will be highlighting player performances through Player and Pitcher of the Week awards, social media game highlights, and much more. Be sure to follow all our social media accounts. They can be found at the top of our SBA home page.

The participation fee for 2020 will be $300 per player. This is an all inclusive fee that provides players and the league with the following:

  • 6 weekends of doubleheaders (12 games total)
  • 6 weeks of instructional clinics hosted SBA staff and guest instructors
  • Uniforms
  • Umpire fees
  • Facility fees
  • Official game balls

All players MUST print the Fall League Waiver which is linked under the Oregon Fall League tab on our website and bring it with them to their first event they attend.

Team Selection

After completing their registration players must attend a mandatory evaluation on September 17th in Salem, Oregon. After these evaluations players will be placed onto a specific Salem Baseball Academy team for the rest of the fall. The reasoning for this evaluation night is to allow our staff to form competitive rosters and schedules that will allow all players involved in the OFL to develop their skills during the season.

The Salem Evaluation Night will be located at Corban University at 5 PM on Sept 17th. Player check in will start at 4:30. The address for Corban University is 5000 Deer Park Dr. Salem, OR 97317. Players will need to bring their waiver forms, bats, gloves, cleats, and masks to follow all protocols. Please contact Ethan Bragg (208) 731-4067 for more information.

There will be many new sites used for games and clinics this year for the OFL. In a year of complexities we are incredibly thankful to these facilities for allowing us to provide a safe environment for our league in 2020. We will release those facilities upon their finalized approval.

Other Teams

In order to provide the best fall environment in Oregon we welcome non-SBA affiliated teams to participate in the league. We host teams from all areas of Oregon and are thankful for their decision to join the mission of the OFL. If you are interested in joining our league with a full team roster, please contact General Manager JJ Mascolo at 541-556-9165.
